The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) acts as a bridge connecting the entrepreneurs who are looking for opportunities to finance their businesses and the investors who have the money the business owners are looking for. Listing a company on the stock exchange is a fundamental step in the life of any business aiming to acquire capital in order to grow. BVB hereby lists the fees required for a company to go public.
On the Main Market, the processing fee applicable to issuers (companies) amounts to RON 1,200, to which it adds up the admission fee, which can vary from RON 3,600 to RON 21,000 depending on the shareholder’s equity. Depending on this indicator, listing a company on this market segment has a total cost going from as low as RON 4,800 to RON 22,200. After the first year, BVB applies a yearly maintenance fee, which is variable and it is calculated according to a specific formula.
On AeRO, the market segment dedicated to SMEs looking for financing on the capital markets, the costs are even lower. As such, the processing fee is only RON 250, while the admission fee is RON 700. Therefore, the overall costs required by BVB to list a company on AeRO amount to just RON 950. When it comes to other taxes, the maintenance fee for the AeRO market is RON 2,000 per year and it is due to be paid from the first year.
All the above mentioned fees are applied solely by BVB. The tariffs do not include additional fees which are to be paid to other entities (ASF, brokers, etc.) or VAT. To this day, 86 companies are listed on the Main Market and 275 companies have gone public on AeRO.
