Important events to be reported: Receiving the first tranche of the state aid payment
Sphera Franchise Group S.A. (“the Group”) informs the market about receiving the payment of state aid from the Romanian government according to the procedure of the implementation of the state aid as foreseen in the Emergency Ordinance nr. 224/2020 on measures to provide financial aid for companies from tourism, HoReCa and event organization industries, whose activity was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the Emergency Ordinance, companies from HoReCa sector could apply for a state aid in the amount that represented 20% of the loss of turnover in 2020 compared to 2019.
The payments received by the Group are as follows:
- RON 615,684.00 received by US Food Network S.A., representing 46.87% of sums due according to the financing contract in total amount of RON 1,313,600.00;
- RON 615,684.00 received by American Restaurant System S.A., representing 46.87% of sums due according to the financing contract in total amount of RON 1,313,600.00.
The management will inform the market as soon as the companies eligible for the state aid receive the second tranche of the payment.
