Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) announces that is has received over 100 nominations in the “Made in Romania” project. Given the big interest in this project as the nominations are incoming from Romanian companies from all around the country, BVB decided to extend the period for submitting nominations at: www.bvbleague.ro until February 22nd, 19:00hrs.
“We are very satisfied, that Made in Romania - Entrepreneurs' League, Fluent in Finance, Condus de Randament - become the trademarks of the Romanian capital market on its way to the Emerging Markets”, said Ludwik Sobolewski, Bucharest Stock Exchange CEO.
“Made in Romania: the league of 15 companies for the growth of the Romanian economy” was launched at the beginning of February 2017. The goal of the project is to select and promote 15 most innovative Romanian companies with the biggest growth prospects that have the best chances at becoming future movers and shakers of the local and, in some cases, regional economy. The project is organized together with Banca Transilvania Group, Google, Horvath & Partners, Mazars and NN. Entrepreneurship Academy, Inoveo, Romanian Business Leaders foundation and portal start-up.ro are the official supporters.
Once the submission period ends on February 22nd, BVB together with the Nomination Committee Members will shortlist 50 companies that will proceed into the last stage where 14 companies will be selected by a Jury consisting of 12 top market experts. The 15th company will be selected by the popular vote which will take place between February 28th and March 14th. The final list of companies selected will be announced at the end of March, during a special “Made in Romania” Gala.
Apart from the exposure and marketing benefits, Bucharest Stock Exchange together with the project partners has prepared for the final 15 companies a special mentorship program. Every month between April and November 2017 will have a different theme, such as marketing and branding, strategy and innovation, audit or financing for growth. Based on the theme of the particular month, a number of top-quality workshops, trainings and 1-to-1 meetings will be organized for the companies’ dedicated teams/employees. Through such organization, within the 8 months BVB together with the partners will have a chance at inciting innovation and best practices at the selected companies and thus supporting their growth.
The participation to this project is free of charge and is voluntary. The companies that were nominated by third parties will be informed about their nomination and will be asked to provide consensus for being considered for this project. More information about the project as well as the submission form are available on the dedicated website: www.bvbleague.ro.
