Bucharest Stock Exchange sees BET index exceed the 10 000-point mark to reach a 12-year high


The BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) went over the 10,000-point ceiling, the highest value in 12 years. It happened at the end of the trading session from January 13th, when the index reached the level of almost 10,024 points, which corresponds to a growth of 0.71% as compared to the previous trading session.

It is the highest level the BET index displayed in the last 12 years. The all-time value was posted on July 24, 2007, when BET amounted to 10,813 points. Last year, the BET index surged up by more than 35%.

The BET index mirrors the evolution of the most-traded 16 companies listed on BVB, except for the Financial Investment Companies. The index includes the following companies: Banca Transilvania (TLV), Fondul Proprietatea (FP), OMV Petrom (SNP), Romgaz (SNG), BRD-Groupe Societe Generale (BRD), Transgaz (TGN), Electrica (EL), Digi Communications (DIGI), Nuclearelectrica (SNN), Transelectrica (TEL), ALRO (ALR), MedLife (M), CONPET (COTE), Purcari Wineries (WINE), Sphera Franchise Group (SFG) and Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).
