Stockbroker from job to passion

Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), a fundamental institution of the capital market, celebrates 25 years since its re-opening. The institution of the stock exchange was re-established in 1995, and on November 20th the first transactions were performed. In the first trading session, 45 transactions were made, with a total volume of 905 shares from 6 listed companies. A quarter of a century later, the Romanian stock market is fundamentally transformed. Thus, between November 16th and 19th, daily webinars will take place, and a press conference is scheduled for November 20th. The main stakeholders in the capital market will participate in these events as guest speakers: investors, issuers, brokerage companies, authorities, together with BVB representatives. It will be discussed how the local capital market has evolved, where it can get in the next 25 years, and what steps need to be taken in this regard.
