  • The Bucharest Stock Exchange launches Q, the first version of the chatbot-type digital solution based on artificial intelligence. The project is designed to become, over time, an important and comprehensive resource of as relevant as possible information on stock exchange investments.
  • The virtual assistant is currently in the progressive learning stage, which takes place along with processing the questions coming from the users. We encourage the visitors of the Bucharest Stock Exchange website, www.bvb.ro, to ask as many questions as possible that are relevant for the capital market, so that it can better and more quickly understand what is the information users need most.
  • The Q Virtual Assistant is developed with the technological support provided by Druid, an end-to-end platform for building conversational business applications based on artificial intelligence.
  • Q is a smart synthesis of the NLP technology offered by DRUID and the language understanding skills provided by the ChatGPT integration by means of Microsoft Azure.

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) launches the first version of the Q chatbot, a digital solution based on artificial intelligence, to answer questions from those who want to learn more about the stock exchange and stock exchange investments. This project aims to become, within a timeframe of about one year, an important and comprehensive resource of as relevant as possible information on stock exchange investments.

The Q virtual assistant can be accessed on the stock exchange website, www.bvb.ro, is only available in Romanian and is currently able to answer a number of frequent questions: how to open a trading account, a list of brokers, basic information about listed companies and stock exchange fundamentals. The chatbot is currently in the progressive learning stage, so users are encouraged to ask as many questions as possible so that it understands the needs they have at an informational level. Since it’s currently in the learning process, the Q assistant may not provide totally accurate answers. Subsequently, the answers provided by the chatbot will be checked by a dedicated team to ensure accuracy and to improve the learning process.

”We continue our digital efforts in order to meet the needs of the local investor community in a world where quick access to information is absolutely essential. With this first version of the Q digital solution, we would like to make investment and capital market concepts more accessible and easier to understand. The launch of Q is a new initiative dedicated to those interested in financial education who want to learn more about savings management alternatives. By means of this virtual assistant, the BVB reconfigures the way users interact with financial information, pioneering greater efficiency, automation and growth in internal processes. Furthermore, we are delighted to have implemented this project with the technological support provided by DRUID, a Romanian start-up that participated in the BVB Arena, our flagship program dedicated to entrepreneurs”, said Adrian Tanase, Managing Director of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

The Q virtual assistant is developed together with DRUID - an end-to-end platform for building conversational business applications based on artificial intelligence. The cooperation between the Bucharest Stock Exchange and DRUID represents a new stage in the process of digitization of the interaction with investors that has already started at the local capital market level. Q is an ingenious synthesis of the NLP technology of DRUID and the language understanding skills provided by the ChatGPT integration through Microsoft Azure.

”I am pleased to see that the DRUID technology supports the BVB in its efforts towards digitalisation, bringing significant benefits. We aim for our solutions to streamline the work of the employees, focusing on the essentials and to provide the BVB investors with easier access to relevant information in a complex financial environment. I believe we have been able to achieve this by means of the Q virtual assistant, thus ensuring a smoother and more efficient interaction”, said Liviu Dragan, DRUID CEO.

The Romanian startup DRUID is one of the finalists of the 2021 edition of the BVB Arena program, a project developed by the Bucharest Stock Exchange to highlight successful Romanian companies.
